In March 2010 CRM's and EuroStemCell's communications officers Ingrid Heersche and Emma Kemp organised a well attended workshop as part of the Scottish ASE conference, an annual two day event where secondary school teachers have the opportunity to catch up with the latest developments in their field.
The workshop kicked off with an introduction on stem cells. After that, teachers had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with various classroom resources. Some of these stem cell resources were developed by CRM and EuroStemCell, some by other parties including the Biochemical Society and Biotechnology and Biosciences Research Council. After discussing the pros and cons of the resources, teachers went away with fresh ideas and plenty of information sources.
