Public seminars on regenerative medicine

CRM researchers are often invited to join an expert panel, present their work and give their view on the future of regenerative medicine. Some examples below.




  • Dr Anna Williams and Dr Paul de Sousa contributed to an evening 'Stem Cell Treatments, where are we? - A focus on Neurological Disease'. The event was organised by UKNSCN and SSCN on 1 February 2011.
  • Prof Marc Turner and Dr Lesley Forrester explained how they hope to use stem cells to generate red blood cells for clinical transfusion as part of the 'Let's Talk' programme at the University of Edinburgh on 16 March 2011.
  • Dr Dave Hay talked about his work at the Edinburgh Science Festival as part of an event 'Medicine of the Future' organised by SSCN on 9 April 2011.
  • Prof Alexander Medvinsky and Dr Clare Blackburn shared their research findings with patients at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Research Open Day hosted at the University of Edinburgh on 7 May 2011.
