Thank you for your interest in supporting the University of Edinburgh’s MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine (CRM) with a financial donation.
Research at CRM is aimed at developing new treatments for major diseases including:
- cancer, for example brain cancer and leukaemia,
- heart disease,
- liver disease,
- and degenerative diseases such as motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease.
To develop these new treatments, our researchers have to gain knowledge about stem cells, how they develop and how they can be controlled in a lab environment.
Philanthropy in research is increasingly important as funding streams change. It is thanks to people like you that we are able to attract the brightest minds and provide world-class research facilities to study the fundamental biology of stem cells and use that knowledge to better understand diseases and develop new treatments.
